how can someone describe the feeling of loss?
it's like an open wound....and open wounds are the worst, as I heard somewhere..
you think you are cured and then suddenly you realize that you need more time...the feeling of loss is back....

Loss is not something you forget, or something you fill up. It's something you learn to live with. The void, is not an emptiness in your life, but becomes a part of it. Contributing to who you are and will be...
Open wounds...I know all about open wounds...I have new knives that look beautiful in my kitchen. But when I used one for the first time, I sliced the top of my thumb open. It was too painful to put a plaster on. But everytime I use the knife, I re-cut the same part of the same bloody thumb! I've had blood in my food for about a week now! It's getting better a little bit today because I gave up cooking and cutting a few days ago. I hope it leaves a scar though, that'll make a good story to add to my collection of scar-stories!
Open wounds kind of numb themselves after a while and even though they should be painful, strangely they're not - and the best part is...you become proud of the scar!
